Senior Business Controller

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Controller to join our team of professionals.  The candidate will be responsible for full accountability on financial statements of Hiab Italy.

The position is based in Bologna, Italy and reports to Director, Finance & Business Control, LCHS.   

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Acts as Financial Business Partner to key stakeholders, provide them financial business support and challenge them in business decision making
• Improve and develop ways of working, tools, methods and processes to make work easier and more efficient
• Provide and prepare management with financial information for business review, analysis and in planning, budgeting, decision making and controlling
• Support decision making to improve all areas of the business including sales growth, product management, pricing, operations, overheads, service efficiency  as well as in working capital optimization.
• Drives product and fixed cost transparency and control in the factories, R&D and other functions
• Owns planning, reporting and analysis processes to facilitate timely decision making in all areas
• Support strategic projects, centrally defined projects and global solution implementation projects and their execution
• Coordinate external and internal audit activities
• Lead, coach and continuously develop the skills and capabilities of the Hiab Italy finance team (4 members)
• Lead transactional accounting and routine work to the shared service center in Sofia, Bulgariа.

What you’ll need to succeed

• MSc in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics
• Internationally recognised accounting qualifications will be considered as an advantage
• 7+ years of experience in finance business partnering,  business controlling role and/or other demanding financial roles
• Experience in a similar industry and in a global and matrix business environment 
• Previous experience in business control, financial reporting, finance processes and systems
• Management accounting and reporting
• Good understanding of the whole value chain from R&D-Manufacturing-Supply Chain-Sales-After sales
• Project and change management experience
• Good understanding of IFRS, local GAAP (must) and tax regulations
• Strong capability in use finance tools  - specifically LN, SAP, QlikView, HFM, Google Data Studio
• SQL, Project Management, finance due diligence & integration, Business modelling will be a plus.
