QHSE Manager

We’re looking for a QHSE Manager who will  manage, develop and maintain the product and process quality functions at the factory in accordance with customer expectations. You will also be responsible for the management of ISO Standards, customer specific (eg:NATO) and business quality systems, providing results driven QA & QC leadership using lean and best practice for the plant. You will be in charge of the development and implementation of end to end Quality strategy to include suppliers, internal processes and customer requirements.


This position will be based in Minerbio, Italy

Main tasks and responsibilities

Safety

  • Leadership within the manufacturing department
  • Ensuring all lost time incidents are reporting and investigated
  • All risk assessments are carried out and maintained
  • Accountable for all safety incidents within manufacturing engineering
  • Define procedure and actions in compliant with law and regulations;
  • Ensure by auditing health and safety condition in the work environment;
  • Detect and manage to resolution issue and not compliant actions regarding safety;
  • Manage the ISO 140001 Environmental System; 
  • Detect and manage issue and environmental criticality;
  • Evaluate the impact of production processes against environmental requirements; 
  • Define improvements target and technological/organisational solutions in line with environmental requirements and rules; ;
  • Plan and coordinate all activity needed to be compliant to regulations;
  • Coordinate relationship with third party authorities for certifications and control; 

 

Quality

  • Lead, prepare and manage customer regulatory audits to include ISO and other customer specific requirements
  • Fulfil the role of Management Representative at Business Line Management reviews
  • IMS/QPR Management System design and document management
  • Internal audit management, reporting and quality feedback 
  • Quality operations planning and road map creation
  • Ownership of CDI process and data management so as to provide statistical analysis as input to
  • RCCA and CI processes
  • Key relationships with other Departments, Suppliers & Sales Organizations
  • Lead the MAU level customer satisfaction from ASTS and warranty feedback to eliminate known faults
  • Take ownership for the Quality element of Engineering Change Control
  • Coordinate PPAP and FMEA processes
  • Ownership of overall Product Quality Control Plan

 

Delivery

  • QPLC coordination
  • Coordinate and manage the Business Continuity Process and Planning across the MAU
  • Participate in NPI Design gate reviews so as to ensure that product quality is built into the design
  • Inventory
  • Responsible for the timely execution of Goods Inwards Inspections
  • Coordinate MRB processes and ensure timely execution of material dispositions
  • Status reporting on material scrap and rework

 

Productivity

  • Ownership of total cost of poor quality including re-work hours
  • Lead the Quality Team in participating in Kaizen events where necessary
  • Adapt and develop best practice with regard to Factory 4.0 quality processes

 

People

  • Leadership of quality organisation
  • Development of the project management and statistical approach (Lean/Six Sigma)
  • Promote a quality culture and understanding in the organisation
  • Organise relevant quality trainings 

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor or Masters degree (Engineering or Quality)
  • ISO Auditor Qualification
  • 5-7 years of experience working in quality management and development
  • Strong background in quality functions and process thinking in all operations
  • Excellent Leadership skills (incl. communication, negotiation, motivation)
  • Strong understanding of processes
  • Quality management and development, as well as quality audits
  • Innovative thinking
  • LEAN thinking
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
