We are about to expand our team and we are currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated individual to join us and proudly represent Hiab in the role of Product Sourcing Specialist.

The purpose of the position is to achieve an explosive increase of Loader Crane Accessories by applying best systematic vendor management practices in Hiab’s arsenal full of diverse Accessories, while constantly being in close collaboration with local vendors and business stakeholders.

Main category focus on Loader Crane Accessories Spend across European Customer Support Centres (CSCs) and Spend on European locations, Secondary focus on Accessories US market activity, expediting and improving delivery performance of key accessories suppliers.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Apply the best sourcing strategy activities across Hiab’s services by managing the entire end-to-end product sourcing lifecycle and closely monitor and manage the supply process in order to meet business objectives and needs.
• Prepare and run Hiab Services-wide RFQ preparation with key vendors to enable assortment standardisation, cost & lead time development and vendor relationship
• Actively participate in the New Product Development, SRM and lead the QAP process with support of Category Supplier Development
• Support new product development by taking ownership and leading all sourcing deliverables within own area of responsibility
• Identify, track and implement cost saving actions to meet the year on year productivity targets for the category
• Responsible for contract negotiation,  including payment term, quality/warranty/logistics annexes and raw material indices
• Strive for long-term business relationships with both present and potential manufacturing partners and stakeholders.

KPIs: Net savings in Accessories business, NPD target BOM cost, Component cost vs business case, PPV. Cash DPO (payment terms), Contract coverage, Quality (PPM / warranty & Claim rate) & Delivery as part of balanced scorecard.

What you’ll need to succeed

Education

• University degree or equivalent, with relevant engineering and/or industrial experience.

Experience:

• 2-3 years of relevant global industrial experience (truck, construction machines, mining, agriculture or automotive)
• 2-3 years relevant work experience in sourcing roles in an international and multi-site company
• Experience in working with large suppliers with global multi-site footprint and managing supplier relations and negotiations
• Project management, cross-functional improvement teams and supplier development programs
• Experience in using ERP systems (Preferably SAP).

Competencies:

• A keen eye for spotting sourcing market trends with strong contract negotiation skills
• Excellent communication, cooperation and influencing skills when working with different senior level roles internally within Hiab and Cargotec as well as externally with different suppliers
• A willingness to inspire clients and knowledge in various sourcing methods such as: supplier relationship management and legal/contractual knowledge.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a business-driven and fact-based approach towards suppliers with a focus on building long-term relationships
• BCC/LCC Sourcing in EMEA and APAC
• Senior level contract and commercial negotiation.
