Hiab Limited is currently looking for an experienced person to combine the management of the Parts Orders & Logistics (PO&L) with the management of the 3PL contract for the Global Distribution Center (GDC) operations in Metz, France via a hands on approach. The position is located in Meppel but other locations in the Netherlands can be considered. The position holder reports to the VP, Supply Chain, Services who is located in Meppel.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities 

 

  • Manage the PO&L team in supporting customers with parts order management activities and any queries related to the order to delivery process
  • Manage the 3PL contract via performance monitoring, deviations follow up and budget control
  • Ensure customer service levels including proficient communication and emergency delivery unit down by securing that the team members follow agreed processes, documentation and correct case management tool usage
  • Assist the Transport Manager in managing carrier performance (cost and transit time reliability) through monitoring of KPIs and carrier transactional data
  • Work collaborative with the American Regional Distribution Center to ensure maximum global efficiency in processes, policies
  • Focus on achieving customer service targets by meeting KPIs for parts on time dispatch, on time transport transit-times, communication responsiveness and other related KPIs measured at budgeted costs
  • Monitor and review performance against agreed budgets on a regular basis as directed by the supply chain and finance functions and take remedial action where required
  • Ensure the agreed systems and monitoring tools are implemented and monitored regularly for the different functions: e.g. order receipt and administration, goods in and on-time put away
  • Through effective RMR and 3PL management, ensure that the GDC holds the accurate stock, agreed stock levels and keep ‘losses’ to a minimum
  • Share regular performance reports including root cause analysis on reasons to performance failures according to the standards set by the supply chain functions.

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

Education:

  • Academic education in logistics or similar
  • Lean Six-Sigma 

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience from similar role preferably with a 3PL operation
  • Background in spare parts distribution is valued
  • Experience from navigating in a global organization


Competencies:

  • Well documented leadership skills
  • Good communicator
  • Analytical and a skilled Excel user
  • Experience with WMS and TMS systems 
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Independent to get things done, but a strong team player
  • Excellent English skills
