Global Transportation Tender & Project Lead

Purpose of the position
We are looking to recruit a self-starter and self-motivated professional with experience in leading negotiations, freight contract management, and relevant sourcing and/or sales experience to join Hiab as our new Global Transportation Tender and Project Lead. This role aims to realize freight costs and process efficiencies by leading large RFQs and strategic transportation projects.
The person in this position will lead selected RFQ & project activities to support the realization of the Hiab Global Transport Roadmap to achieve Cost, CO2, and On-time Performance targets.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Lead strategic transportation projects, including large RFQ initiatives or carrier/mode shifts to the finish line;
- Implement agreed transportation process change initiatives in close collaboration with stakeholders;
- Participate as Subject Matter Expert in cross-functional projects;
- Collaborates with corporate stakeholders on projects and process improvement
- TMS ownership & development;
- Standardizing RFQ project quality & structure;
- Support the operational support structure, including the invoice audit process;
- Realize freight savings and budgets as agreed with management;
- Realize selected transport projects & improvement targets;
- RFQ project quality & implementation targets;
- Invoice audit quality targets.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years relevant sourcing and/or sales experience (“both sides of the negotiation table” experiences at one of the bigger carriers is an advantage);
- Leading negotiations and freight contract management;
- Experience from navigating in a global matrix organisation;
- Excellent English skills;
- Understanding of TMS and SAP (or other ERP software) functionalities;
- Aftermarket parts supply logistics experience is valued;
- Leadership experience is valued;
- Negotiation, networking, and communication skills;
- Proficiency/interest in analytical tools including Excel, SQL, Qlik Sense/Power BI/Tableau is an advantage;
- A team player with analytical skills, strategic thinking, and an eye for the big picture who is able to drive change and growth.
