Category Manager - Installations CSC Europe

Hiab is looking for a new Category Manager - Installations CSC Europe, focused on Sub frames and Installation Components Spend across European Customer Service Centers (CSCs), who will enable through sourcing action our growth and cost competitiveness of Hiab Installations and Frameworks business.

The position offers flexibility in terms of working location - Hybrid working model.
 
As a Category Manager you will be responsible for source selection and the identification, tracking and implementation of cost saving actions to meet the year on year productivity targets for the respective category. The main sourcing focus countries are the Netherlands, Finland, Czech Republic and Poland.
 
In this role, you will also enable source lane and footprint changes together with business managers and CSC counterparts, while improving costs and delivery performance of key European Distribution Center (DC) suppliers towards CSCs. You will manage all sourcing activities and secure demanding and complex multi-tier sourcing arrangements, promoting Supplier Relationship Management and early supplier involvement.
 
This position is located in Meppel, the Netherlands, but Finland is also possible option.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Identification, development and execution of the sourcing activities to optimize use of Hiab/Cargotec resources over the E2E product lifecycle;
• Identifying, tracking and implementing cost saving actions to meet the year on year productivity targets for the category;
• RFQ preparation, analysis and vendor negotiations;
• Contract negotiation including payment term, quality/warranty/logistics annexes and raw material indices;
• Identification and development of new manufacturing partners within BCC countries to support current and future needs of the business;
• Commercial participation in supplier assessments in conjunction with Supplier Development;
• Provide support to escalate, drive recovery plans and resolve supplier quality/delivery issues using root cause analysis tools & methodology.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Degree in Engineering and/or studies within the industrial field (or equivalent);
• At least 5 years of relevant global industrial experience (truck, construction machines, mining, agriculture or automotive) and such in sourcing roles in an international and multi-site company;
• Experience in using ERP systems (preferably SAP or LN);
• Excellent knowledge in project management, sourcing methods, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, analytical skills and legal/contractual knowledge;
• Fluency in English;
• Great teamwork, communication, cooperation and influencing skills;
• Ability to travel.
