CPQ Solution Owner

Hiab is looking for a Solution owner, CPQ (configure-price-quote). The CPQ Solution owner has a pivotal role in the development and support structure for the business application of the CPQ. You will work as the liaison between the business, Information management organisation and suppliers. Reporting to the Director, Sales tools and processes, the CPQ Solution Owner is responsible for the new CPQ platform and the processes and workflows in the system. The CPQ Solution Owner works cross-functionally with our CPQ vendor, business stakeholders and system administrators to evolve our CPQ capabilities to achieve commercial targets. The CPQ Solution Owner serves as the primary interface for Hiab to our CPQ vendor, prioritising development requirements using Agile/Scrum as the development methodology.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

Supporting Business Change

  • Lead CPQ expert in driving significant change from our current state of global and local configurators towards a global, standardised and scalable CPQ process in accordance with our broader Commercial Excellence program
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to our project implementation and rollout teams
  • Be the CPQ champion and leverage best practices to drive user onboarding and adoption

 

Business Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maximising efficiencies of our CPQ platform in support of product, sales, solution architects, pricing, legal and sales order processing users
  • Supporting system administrators in executing changes using defined best practice

 

Business Analysis

  • Working with solution coordinator to gather requirements from business stakeholders
  • Coordinating development scoping calls with CPQ partner
  • Quantifying business benefits and create justification supporting development costs

 

Support and Process Ownership

  • Defining and supervising service level and support set up together with other teams in Hiab and Cargotec to ensure overall end to end service quality
  • Primary owner for process definition and maintenance related to CPQ use
  • Defining policies for system users with guidance from key business stakeholders
  • Collaborating with the Information management team on end-to-end process flows, contributing to CPQ elements, data structures, roles and permissions.

 

CPQ Platform Ownership

  • Serving as primary interface to CPQ partner in prioritising business requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement of the platform with stakeholder inputs and CPQ vendor/partner management to exploit new features for business benefit
  • Supervising CPQ platform incident, change, problem and release management

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

  • Master’s or Bachelor's Degree in computer science, 10+ years of professional IT experience, minimum 5 years' experience as a software architect, product manager, systems manager, business analyst or software project management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with CPQ, billing and CRM processes and systems highly preferred
  • Proven experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Proven track record for balancing business and technical priorities
  • Motivated change agent and team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem solver and highly analytical thinker
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with business and technical audiences
  • Experienced in working with highly distributed global teams
