Sales Executive

Purpose of the position


Purpose of the job:
The position is responsible for equipment sales operations within designated areas within the state of New York.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work with Regional Business Manager approved budget for direct new equipment sales to assigned customers
  • Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new customers; access customer needs and suggest appropriate products/services, negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority and conclude sales orders to meet sales targets
  • Manage assigned customer relations, act as business manager towards assigned customers and be the main point of contact
  • Identify, research and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business
  • Refer sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within organization
  • Collaborate with technical support representative in the Market Area to coordinate and channel technical support from Hiab functions towards assigned customers with Market Area
  • Provide commercial discounts in line with established guidelines
  • Know, understand and comply with Hiab USA, Inc.’s Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
  • Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements
  • Perform all other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

What you’ll need to succeed:



  • Suitable educational background on technical and commercial subjects (Bachelor/academic level);


Working experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience of sales and marketing in the industry and excellent understanding of load handling business and HIAB product knowledge


Competence and skills:

  • Ability to work in an international business environment/in a matrix organisation 
  • Proven ability to drive and develop equipment business sales and profitability
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships;
  • Results and achievement driven and eager to create long term relationships
  • High integrity and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong business mind-set with financial skills
  • Good technical skills and product knowledge
