Workshop Service Engineer

Purpose of the position

 

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our team as Workshop Service Engineer. The role is responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing Hiab and third party equipment, whilst providing a high level of customer service, through product knowledge and customer interaction.  It is workshop based.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Undertake servicing of Hiab or third party equipment at our customer sites 
  • Complete all service, repair, warranty and inspection jobs allocated daily, to a high quality standard 
  • Build strong rapport and relationships with customers, through professional behaviour and customer focused mindset 
  • Complete all job related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner to ensure correct invoicing to the customer
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve standard technical problems that arise, ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
  • Develop skills and knowledge of the organisation’s products and service
  • Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and in compliance with the company's safety rules / procedures and with regulations and codes of practice. 
  • Support the company’s efforts to reduce accidents / incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in Safety Walks, Safety Audits and 5S events etc. as required.
     

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Education:

 

  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualifications 

 

Working experience:

 

  • Experienced multi-skilled engineer 
  • Experience in mechanical, hydraulic or electrical operations.

 

Competence and skills:

  • Self-starter, enthusiasm and drive 
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships

  • Ability to develop and grow long-term relationships with customers
  • English proficiency on a high level or native
  • Valid driving licence.
