Sales Support Manager

Purpose of the position

Sales support manager manages the sales support for Hiab to achieve predefined KPIs and makes sure the process of sales support is optimized. He/she leads the centralized team in Gdansk. Therefore we are looking for a person with leadership skills, as well as sales support or shared service center experience. Additionally skills to implement improvement for data driven processes and work with data, are considered as an advantage. The role of the sales support team is to support our customers (internal and external) and continuously to drive improvement of customer experience and satisfaction. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

Sales support team in Gdansk currently supports 3 markets: Germany, UK and Netherlands. The main responsibilities of the team are handling new equipment orders and invoicing customers for delivered equipment. Order handling consists of placing new orders to the factory, processing change requests and purchasing items from our suppliers. All the work is done in close cooperation with sales representatives, finance, MAUs (multi-assembly units) and logistics. Different IT systems, such as configuration tools, order management system and SAP, are in use to deliver the results. 
Important aspect of the team’s work is to provide great customer experience for our internal and external customers, and continuously aim to improve customer experience & satisfaction.

Key accountabilities 

  • Is responsible for managing the sales support operations in Gdansk and leading the sales support team
  • Owns the sales support process and implementing improvements in data driven processes (invoicing, ordering) for CX Gdansk sales support team
  • Coordinates with stakeholders about status of operations, processes and implementing improvements
  • Provides visibility into quality and efficiency of process by providing data and reporting and taking actions based on findings in cooperation with stakeholders

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Management or Economics

Experience:

  • Finance, IT or Operations
  • Sales support & shared service center
  • Business Process improvement
  • Consulting
     

Language skills:

English requirement: B2
German requirement: B1
 

Additionally:

  • Highly motivated, "hands on", energized, passion and commitment for leading the sales support team
  • People leadership skills & experience
  • A keen interest to learn change mgmt and strengthen managerial skills
  • Good written and verbal communications; B2 in English, B1 in German
  • Good knowledge of implementing data driven processes and efficiency driven
  • Good analytical skills, both in analyzing data to relevant conclusions and in structuring data
  • Experience in or keen interest for working in complex, cross-functional and global teams.
  • Autonomous working and team player with ability to balance these two and foster effective collaboration with colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire skills in a business analysis software package (e.g. Google, Excel, SAP or any other).
