We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated  Parts Planner  to join our team!

 

 

 

 

Purpose of the position

 

 

 

The Parts Planner has a dual role combining Demand & Inventory Planning responsibility for a segment of the spare parts supply chain with operational purchasing tasks for a number of highly strategic suppliers in that segment. The Parts Planner plays a critical role for achieving a high parts availability while keeping inventory levels under control

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

 

 

Planning:

 

  • Continuously review forecast deviations and adjust when needed
     
  • Manage authorised stock list
     
  • Actively interact with other services division departments to gather and share information relevant to the spare parts sales forecast, for example sales campaigns and other drivers of exceptional demand
     
  • Review most significant changes to forecast and stock levels following monthly forecasting and optimization run
     
  • Collaborate with Global Planning team and give feedback on improvement opportunities in the Global Planning Model
     
  • Support colleagues in value steam with guidance and actions to mitigate supplier performance related issues through changes to planning parameters.
     
  • Continuously search for opportunities to reduce excess inventory
     
  • Closely collaborate with US supply chain team to ensure the end-to-end is considered when managing exceptions and demand and supply as well as excess inventory
     
  • Act on requests from PSC’s to support with stock
     
  • Be attentive to feedback from Customer Support Centers (CSC) and Importers in order to secure that the customer needs are considered in the planning process

 

 

Purchasing
 

  • Spare parts procurement according to planning parameters (purchasing of material and follow up on confirmed dates and suppliers ability to deliver ( OTIF)
     
  •  Proactive identification of the risk of deviations in deliveries and taking corrective and preventive actions
     
  • Driving supplier performance management to improve cooperation/ KPIs - lead time and confirmation accuracy
     
  • Independently conducting meetings with suppliers in order to develop cooperation, relationships and achieve result goals
     
  • Cooperation with the Sourcing department to ensure smooth cooperation with suppliers and to achieve the goal of availability of the right material for customers
     
  • Cooperation with Purchasing Team to ensure a clear and transparent material management planning process
     
  • Keeping customer service informed on expected delivery dates on parts with backorders
     
  • Reviewing supplier invoices
     
  • Supplier claims handling 
     
  • Support in purchasing master data management
     
  • Development of purchasing processes
     
  • Performing other tasks associated with the role, as assigned by the line manager

 

 

 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

 

 

  • Academic education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or corresponding knowledge acquired through work experience. 
     
  • Experience from inventory planning is highly valued
     
  • Knowledge of planning theory and statistics is highly valued
     
  • Analytical and skilled working with data;
     
  • Ability to solve complex problems and support others and develop processes and ways of working
     
  • Good communication skills and customer centric mind-set
