Team Lead, Sales Administration

Purpose of the position

We are looking for an experienced, positive and self driven individual to join our great sales administration team in Ellesmere as the new Team Leader, Sales Administrator.


The role will focus on managing  and supporting the sales process from order intake to delivery of finished goods through to the operations team and partners, to agreed timescales and budgets. The Team Leader, Sales Administrator will mostly interact with internal stakeholders and company partners. Occasional traveling may be required.

Main tasks and responsibilities


  • Managing and supporting a team of sales administrators and being a point of escalation for queries that are raised;
  • Supporting the Sales Team and Dealers with order processing;
  • Providing product quotations to the Hiab Sales Team and Dealers;
  • Daily management of sales administration for Loader Cranes, Demountables, Forestry and Truck Mounted Forklifts;
  • Business lead for salesforce adoption and development;
  • Maintaining control of Work in Progress and inventory and managing the KPI data;
  • Maintaining control of the order book;
  • Providing information and updates for forecasting of Order Intake and Sales;
  • Assisting with pricing and margin control;
  • Business lead in sales process implementation;
  • Assisting with administration of compliance documentation;
  • Preparing and sending order acknowledgements to customers;
  • Responsible for progress chasing SAP vendor/ customer/ part number creator;
  • Supporting the planning phase of the builds both internally and externally;
  • Support the company’s efforts to reduce accidents / incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in Safety Walks, Safety Audits and 5S events etc. as required.

What you’ll need to succeed




  • CRM tools - Salesforce preferred;
  • Data analytics tools;
  • Compliance background – preferred non essential;
  • Lorry loader/ Crane background – preferred non essential.


Competencies and Skill Set:


  • Have good technical knowledge and will ideally be from an administration environment within a similar industry;
  • Ideally have experience managing or supervising a team, preferably in an administrative environment;
  • Possess excellent I.T. skills - including MS Office and the SAP ERP System;
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Be confident and comfortable interfacing with other departments and stakeholders;
  • Be self-motivated, capable of working under pressure, and able to operate with minimal supervision;
  • Be able to support and manage change;
  • Be a good team player, flexible with regards to tasks performed.
