Supply Chain Manager

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As such, you will work with our key external partners to ensure that cranes are ordered and scheduled in line with the arranged build plans, with the primary purposes of maintaining and developing positive working relationships whilst also minimising our Work in Progress (WIP) and working capital.

The role is located in Ellesmere and will be reporting to the Operations Manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

•    Working alongside our key external partners who carry out  installation of HIAB cranes along with vehicle bodywork, directly for our customers  and partners who install, subcontracted by us, HIAB cranes and Multilift products
•    Ensure that cranes and required ancillary equipment  are scheduled in line with the designated build plans
•    Working with Manufacturing facilities to prevent delivery issues
•    Progressing all external activity with these supply chain partners
•    Formalize relationships with Partnership Agreements/SLAs
•    Working with our Logistics department to ensure efficiency in materials planning and supply to partners of ancillary equipment/kits
•    Working on new projects as required 
•    KPI’s (Working capital value/Stock days/Throughput times/ DSO/Payment to terms, etc.)
•    Be available to travel extensively across UK visiting partners’ sites with occasional nights away from home during the working week.

What you’ll need to succeed:

The successful candidate is a good team player, who is flexible with regards to the tasks performed. They should be self-motivated, capable of working under pressure and able to operate with minimal supervision. We are also looking for confidence and comfort when interfacing with other departments and stakeholders.

Ideally you have:
•    Good I.T. skills, including MS Office 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Technical/Engineering background with knowledge/experience of Commercial vehicle bodybuilding industry
•    Willingness to travel.
