Service Business Support Manager

We are looking for a Service Business Support Manager to lead, inspire and engage a Service Support Team to deliver industry leading Service to HIAB customers, to ensure all Company and performance objectives are achieved and that individuals are developed to continually improve and fulfil their potential.

In this position, you will be working with UK and Ireland Sales and Services teams.

The role will be based in Ellesmere however frequent national travel will be required and sometimes, international travel.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Support all Service Sales and P&L for the Customer Service functions together with other colleagues
  • Provide short and long term forecast for P&L’s you are responsible for
  • Provide monthly reports for the Service function to the management team
  • Support sales development towards setting targets including parts, contracts and maintenance
  • Cooperate with central services where applicable
  • Assess and adjust profitability of maintenance contracts and continually improve 
  • Develop a standard way of working for more efficiency
  • Drive abilities for innovative business solutions, targeting the life cycle of the customer
  • Deploy a proactive safety culture of zero incidents while promoting and ensuring the completion of safety trainings and programs together with key stakeholders
  • Provide support to Technical Support Manager and functions
  • Actively participate in the budget and strategic planning of the business unit
  • Actively participate in the transformation from product- to service culture
  • Develop and optimise service operations on both field and workshop to ensure the lead time, local parts supply chain, quality and efficiency
  • Measure, communicate and improve key performance indicators, support continuous improvement and best practice, share activities at and across Market Areas
  • Ensure implementation and continuous improvement of  Services Management System
  • Manage and motivate teams as driven by business needs
  • Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and in compliance with the company's safety rules / procedures and with regulations and codes of practice
  • Support the company’s efforts to reduce accidents / incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in Safety Walks, Safety Audits and 5S events etc. as require.
     

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Education:

 

  • Recognised Business Studies, Commercial or Technical Qualification.

 

Working experience:

 

  • At least 10 years of relevant business/ service operational experience.

 

Competence and skills:

 

  • Proven track record in a leadership position
  • Creative business mind with strong communication and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in an international business environment in a matrix organisation.

 

License/Certificate:

 

  • Driving Licence.
