Do you have experience with leading a team and change management? We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, who will lead the Engineering department to ensure the effective creation and delivery of packages to support our customer purchases.
By joining our team you will have the opportunity to lead the team through a period of growth and expansion as well as developing new ways of doing work. The position includes day to day communication with Sales colleagues and externally with 3rd party installers, Partners, Truck manufacturers and Customers.
This position will be based in Ellesmere, United Kingdom. You will report to the Operations Manager.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Leading and co-ordinating the Engineering department & workload
- Support in designing functional processes around the creation, review, and update of engineering documentation and master data maintenance
- Build effective processes to design, create & maintain Installation BOMs
- Management and development of Installation works instructions and installation manuals
- Development of continuous improvement processes for engineering, installation, and service processes
- Lead personal development of the team including; coaching, training and performance management.
- Monitoring and ensuring business compliance with UK regulations and standards within the industries we operate
- Product training with Sales Teams and Applicational advice to Dealers/Approved installers.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Engineering principles and technical knowledge
- Experience with Lorry loader / Crane / HGV would be nice to have
- Experience with managing a team and ability to develop individuals
- I.T. skills, including MS Office, Salesforce, Google Platform and the SAP ERP System
- Communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work without supervision
- Driving licence - occasion national travel
- Fluency in English both written and verbal.
