Purpose of the position
The purpose of the TMF Technician is to provide the best customer experience by performing service, (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment) on new and used equipment, at our Hiab location in line with Manager’s instructions.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Complete all service, repair, warranty and pre delivery inspection jobs allocated daily, to a high quality standard
- Completing all job related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner to ensure correct invoicing to the customer
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve standard technical problems that arise, ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and in compliance with the company's safety rules / procedures and with regulations and codes of practice
- Support the company’s efforts to reduce accidents / incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in safety walks, safety audits and 5S events etc. as required
- Coordinate with parts specialists to maintain proper inventory of parts, paints and materials
- Coordinating with customer care specialists in regards to movement of TMFL’s
- Follow all safety standards and adhering to the correct safety procedures and policies using the required PPE
- Coordinating with the TMF Operations Manager to make sure all tools and equipment are maintained
- Coordinating with the TMF Operations Manager to ensure the day-to-day progress of product refurbishment
- Assist in the management of the used equipment inventory
- Assists with the valuation of trade-in equipment and direct purchases of used equipment
- Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements
- Build strong rapport and relationships with team members, through professional behaviour and customer focused mind set
- Perform all other duties as required by the TMF Operations Manager within the physical constraints of the job
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualifications
Working experience:
- Experienced multi-skilled engineer
- Experience in mechanical, hydraulic or electrical operations
Competence and skills:
- Excellent customer focused approach

- Flexibility and adaptability
