Finance Business Analyst

Purpose of the position

 

Hiab is currently looking for a new Business Analyst to provide financial data modelling and business insights and to enable better planning, decision making and business performance. We are seeking for an experienced professional to ensure continuous improvement, to assure that timely and accurate business insights are produced for proper business performance management, enabling better decision making and business steering. You will help identify and define business problems and support DigiFinance and finance transformation. The role is primarily based in Ellesmere, however some travelling to the other five Hiab sites in the UK may be required.

The role is open for candidates who hold valid work permits for the UK. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

 

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions;
  • Leverage from existing systems, automation, data transformation and visualisation tools to support in creating a more data driven, informed and insight-based finance;
  • Participating in business reviews and support with comments and insights;
  • Support analysis of past and current business trends in key areas such as revenues, costs, margins, working capital, CAPEX and cash flow;
  • Support on budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure higher accuracy, deviations analysis and recommendations;
  • Month end demand monthly reviews, financial reviews, OH costs and presentation packages(gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports);
  • Ad hoc analytical tasks and projects (eg. Finance Excellence).

What you’ll need to succeed

 

  • Fully qualified in CIMA, ACCA or similar;
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong analytical thinking;
  • Strong ability to influence and lead stakeholder;
  • Skilled with data analysis and usage of Dashboards etc;
  • Service and solution oriented;
  • Clear, influential, straightforward and objective communicator;
  • Service and customer focused;
  • Passionate about driving performance improvements;
  • Process oriented;
  • Technology savvy and working with tools and applications for data modelling.
