Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is responsible for managing specific projects from scope, planning, execution and implementation, in line with HIAB project management gated processes. These projects will range across the TMFL Division and will include liaison with other Hiab divisions.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate related activities internally, liaison with all departments such as engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Logistics, Quality, Administration and Finance, with specific focus on scope, budget, delivery time and margins
  • Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, evaluate, organise and prioritise workload within a schedule, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements, as well as monitoring them
  • Control the project plans by reviewing design, specifications and plans, scheduling changes, and recommending actions
  • Control project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
  • Work with key user, solution co-ordinator / expert to define technical tasks and coordinate system migrations with site business teams
  • Provide ERP Solution / prototype development, user acceptance testing, documentation and training

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

  • Bachelors'’ degree in Engineering / Business
  • Six sigma Black/Green Belt
  • HIAB project management process.
  • 5-8 years working in a engineering environment, experience from mechanical / electrical industry and assembly operations perspective
  • Strong knowledge of integration software & LN 10.5 modules, Planning, Manufacture Eng, Production, EDM / Master Data, Warehousing, Quality.
  • Understanding of the business
  • Proficiency in G Suite, MS Apps, project management
  • Exposure to digital twinning / Industry 4.0
