Lab Coordinator

At HIAB you will be an important contributor to secure agreed technical quality output for serial produced products. Main areas are testing and validation of mechanical design, hydraulic and electrical components and solutions.
The Lab Coordinator will be reporting to the R&D Manager Zepro.

The position will require some travelling to meet and understand the customer needs and to collaborate with suppliers and other competences.

Main tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate prototype and test & validation activities in Lab (2 Testing technicians work in Lab).
  • Create and maintain test and validation plans in coordination with R&D engineers
  • Contribute to develop and maintain competence and adequate toolings for the Lab department
  • Technical support against production 
  • Participate in DFMEA, PFMEA
  • Participate in projects of improvements of existing product and developing of new products
  • Actively work with improvement of safety and 5S in Lab department. Creating processes and instructions where needed.
  • Perform risk assesments in Lab department and other areas where testing will be done
  • Creating reports from tests and validation.
What you’ll need to succeed:

Ideally you have:

  • Good practical skills and experience in mechanic and hydraulic constructions
  • Experience of leading personnel
  • Good English skills, both in writing and orally
  • Good skills and experience in computer handling e.g. excel, word
  • Working skills in CAD (preferred Inventor Zepro use today)
  • Practical skills and experience in power and control electronics
  • Practical skills and experience in strain gauge methodic
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Strong technical interest to ensure solid interest and engagement 
  • Good communication and organizing skills.
