Technical Delivery Lead

Purpose of the position

Cargotec Business Technology is expanding its internal technical competencies, and we are looking for an ambitious, experienced, and self-motivated IT/IM technician to join the Regional Delivery team to work as Technical Delivery lead in the EMEA Region. You will work in an international environment, where you will be responsible for local server and infrastructure support. You will also be a ‘guide’ for our service desk to improve their understanding of our environment and will participate in local, regional, and global projects. Together with our Regional Delivery Managers, service managers, and internal technical teams you share the responsibility for ensuring a high level of IT/IM support delivery and excellent customer experience through Cargotec Business Technology and our outsourcing partners.
The position can be based anywhere in Europe.

Main tasks and responsibilites

  • Local server and infrastructure support
    • Server management and replacements, On-Prem to cloud migrations.
    • Improving our local ICT infrastructure, e.g switches, connectivity.
  • Cross-regional technical resource for 2nd/3rd level support to guide the service desk in resolving tickets and improving their knowledge about our environment.
  • Ensure documentation of local applications, servers and infrastructure is in place and maintained. (knowledge management + CMDB).
  • Ensuring a high level of IT/IM support delivery by Cargotec Business Technology and our outsourcing partners.
    • Drive process improvements together with the internal Cargotec Business Technology teams and our outsourcing partners to improve service delivery and to reduce costs.
    • Focus on improving the end-user experience in any way possible.
  • Ensuring that global policies and procedures are in place and followed.
  • Participate as a technical resource in global and regional projects like office moves, acquisitions, and divestment activities.
  • Anything else that might pop-up to improve the end-user experience
     

We expect from you

Having the attitude 'I am here to help you' and being a ‘hands-on’ person. An experienced team player with broad technical IT knowledge. Good interpersonal and communication skills are a prerequisite. As we are a dynamic organization we expect you to adapt and respond to change rapidly. Traveling in the EMEA region is a part of the role.
 

Ideally you have

  • Bachelor/University degree in Information Technology and Information Systems or a minimum of 10 years of technical experience in the IT industry.
  • A strong background in server and infrastructure management.
  • Express yourself fluently in the English language, verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent knowledge of service management practices (SIAM) and service processes (ITIL framework)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Having experience of working in a global organization is preferred
