HR Advisor

Purpose of the position


We are looking for an HR Advisor to our HR services country team in Finland as maternity leave substitution. The HR services team in Finland is part of Cargotec Business Services (CBS) and together with our colleagues in the HR Service Center in Sofia, Bulgaria we are supporting businesses in various country-specific employment matters. 


As HR Advisor you will have both country and site responsibilities. On the country level you support and act as contact person for both payroll matters and the recruitment process. In addition, you are the site contact for daily HR issues and you support the businesses in the company’s HR processes. 


You work independently in Tampere but in close collaboration with other HR Advisors, who are located in Helsinki and Raisio, and the Country HR Manager to whom you are reporting. In your role you will also work in close contact with Managers, HR Business Partners, Cargotec Business Services (CBS) HR teams.


The position is fixed-term for approximately 1,5 years, starting latest from beginning of August 2021.


Main tasks and responsibilities:


  • Acting as country level payroll contact in various payroll matters and towards the external payroll supplier
  • Acting as country level contact in recruitments and school co-operation 
  • Supporting managers in HR annual cycle processes 
  • Managing local health care and work wellbeing initiatives 
  • Representing HR in different site related forums
  • Ensuring specific employment life cycle processes and HR annual clock actions.

What you’ll need to succeed:


We are looking for a person with perfect communication and negotiations skills but also with the ability to prioritize tasks. In this role you should be customer focused and conflict resolution oriented. 


Ideally you have:


  • Educational background which supports the work within human resources
  • At least 3 years of experience in human resource administration with payroll knowledge
  • Knowledge of labour law, collective agreements, local agreement matters in Finland
  • Knowledge of HR basic processes and tools
  • Good knowledge in Technology industries’ collective agreements is an advance
  • Experience in recruitment process is an advantage
  • Excellent spoken and written Finnish and English skills
  • IT-skills and multiple programme use: SAP Successfactors, GSuite and MS Office.
