Junior Procurement Analyst

Purpose of the position

 

Providing analytical and reporting support to entire Source-to-Receipt (S2R) area in Cargotec Business Services in alignment with corporate and business area procurement as well as customers´ needs. and expectations.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Perform procurement analytics related activities across the different indirect procurementcategories and strategic sourcing projects requested by the team leader and respective project manager
  • Procurement analytics activities include for example gathering internal and external business intelligence by conducting current state analysis internally as well as finding supply market and supply chain intelligence on the existing, and potential supplier base.
  • Procurement analyst plays also an important role in understanding and specifying information and data requirements to gain the necessary business, market, or other relevant intelligence.
  • Recognize unusual events or consistent problems and work with team members to resolve issues
  • Maintain good working relationships within the other process teams
  • Deliver service in line with agreed controls and procedures
  • Suggest methods to update, simplify, and enhance processes, procedures and technologies
  • Support Solution Owners and Process Owners in continuous improvement and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures of the GBS
  • Support continuous improvement projects
  • First line of support for the Team Lead
  • Perform any ad-hoc activities as per request of direct superior

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

Education

  • Minimum bachelor degree in finance or business

 

Experience

  • Min. 1 year of experience in supporting analytical tasks and processes for S2R

 

Competences

  • Knowledge of related process areas such as Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) is seen as a plus
  • Experience with simple to complex query handling
  • Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience working with a procurement solutions in the Requisition-to-Receipt area,
  • in particular Ivalua, as well as solutions related to procurement analytics preferred
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT), Google Office tools as an advantage
  • Taking initiative in a proactive manner to improve own and team work practices
  • Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required.

  • Corporate Indirect Procurement Team including BA leads
  • Customers of the CBS (to the extent required)
  • The project team
  • Other stakeholders across the Global Company (to the extent required)
