FICO Master Data Specialist

Purpose of the position


Act as an expert in data migration coordinating data improvements, participating in data migration done as part of the projects concentrating especially on the customer and vendor master data and financial transactional data. Monitoring and support in FICO master data maintenance

Main tasks and responsibilities


FICO Master Data activities: 

  • Support the maintenance of FICO Master records, including, but not limited to Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Chart of Accounts, Master Data Service Management, 3rd Party outsourcing partner Service Tickets handling, etc.
  • Coordinate with other business functions (RTR, Capgemini, Finance Team, Information Technology, etc) to ensure timely and accurate FICO data maintenance – supporting transactions and downstream processes
  • Provide high quality master data by utilizing FICO master audit reports to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Service Desk Quality check; Consolidation of all Quality issues and reporting to line manager on performance/FICO service improvement ideas; ad-hoc reporting
  • Knowledge of data focus and how data is used throughout Cargotec
  • Provide training of Cargotec systems (for example: SAP, ServiceNow, BPOpen, QlikView and others applicable) to customers and new team members; Proactively create and lead cross training for team members and other related groups and functions


Migration Data activities:

  • Work as a point of contact for migration related issues within the agreed scope that can vary per project
  • Communicate and keep necessary parties informed
  • Identify possible template and program development needs and report those to solution owners rest of the migration team (upload resources)
  • Support local organization in performing data migration and updates as part of the rollout projects
  • Support and participate to Migration IT testing, UVT and go-live migration execution
  • Make sure migration extraction rules are created correctly
  • Perform uploads to production and test environments if needed for customer and vendor master data and financial transactional data
  • Responsible for after go-live support 

What you’ll need to succeed



  • Minimum bachelor's degree in finance or engineering


  • Minimum 3 years direct work experience in related areas
  • Experience in master data, data maintenance and processes
  • Experience in SAP, Excel (data extraction, analysis, upload file preparation)
