Procurement Specialist,Source to Receipt

Cargotec Business Services (CBS) was established in 2017 with Sofia as the main global hub and two regional hubs in the United States and Singapore. Its aim is to optimize the global business support processes of Cargotec within Finance, Human Resources and Indirect Procurement.

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist, Source to Receipt to join our team and perform transactional procurement related activities in alignment with corporate and business area procurement as well as customers´ needs and expectations. The transactional procurement activities include for example: processing and validating Purchase Requisitions (PRs); processing purchase orders (PO), managing purchasing document changes and cancellations, performing receipting, handling returns, performing operational reporting, catalogue management; help desk services to internal and external customers.

The location of the position is Singapore, CBS APAC Hub. 

Main tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Active member of the Requisition-to-Receipt (R2R) process area
  • Act as 1st line of contact with organisation via calls, chat e.g. document and follow up all purchasing inquiries, issues and transactions.
  • Recognize unusual events or consistent problems and work with team members to resolve issues
  • Deliver service in line with agreed controls and procedures
  • Maintain good working relationships within the other process teams
  • Deliver service in line with agreed controls and procedures
  • Suggest methods to update, simplify, and enhance processes, procedures and technologies
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Support of new and less experienced team members
  • Participate in transition activities when applicable:
    • Support the functional workstream
    • Support the transition of processes incl. knowledge transfer and work shadowing
  • Perform any ad-hoc activities as per request of direct superior 
  • All work needs to be conducted in compliance with Company guidelines, code of conduct, policies, procedures, controls and legal requirement.
What you’ll need to succeed:

Ideally you have:

  • Minimum bachelor degree in finance or business 
  • Min. 3 years of experience in Source-to-Pay (S2P) area, in particular related to transactional procurement i.e. R2R process area
  • Experience with simple to complex query handling
  • Knowledge of related process areas such as Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) is seen as a plus
  • Customer service focus and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving, organisational and communicational skills
  • Hands-on experience working with a procurement solutions in the Requisition-to-Receipt area, in particular Ivalua, preferred
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT), Google Office tools as an advantage
  • Support initiative in a proactive manner to improve own and team work practices
  • Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required
  • Good at communicating in a professional manner
  • Display a strong work ethic and ability to comply with internal controls and policies.
