Junior Procurement Specialist, Source to Receipt

Purpose of the position

Perform transactional procurement related activities in alignment with corporate and business area procurement as well as customers´ needs and expectations.


Key Tasks:

●    Active member of the Requisition-to-Receipt (R2R) process area

●    Perform transactional procurement related activities related to R2R area. The transactional procurement activities include for example: processing and validating Purchase Requisitions (PRs); processing purchase orders (PO), managing purchasing document changes and cancellations, performing receipting, handling returns, performing operational reporting, catalogue management; help desk services to internal and external customers

●    Deliver service in line with agreed controls and procedures

●    Maintain good working relationships within the other process teams

●    Suggest methods to update, simplify, and enhance processes, procedures and technologies

●    Identify continuous improvement opportunities

●    Perform any ad-hoc activities as per request of direct superior

●    All work needs to be conducted in compliance with Company guidelines, code of conduct, policies, procedures, controls and legal requirement

What you’ll need to succeed:


●     Minimum bachelor degree in finance or business


●     Min. 1 year of experience in Source-to-Pay (S2P) area, in particular related to transactional procurement i.e. R2R process area

●     We are open to candidates with no procurement experience, we are open to that as well as long as you have at least Japanese proficiency at N2 level.


●     Full professional proficiency of written and oral in both English and Japanese is a must (min N2 level), preferably also with Korean language proficiency to liaise with Japanese and Korean counterparts (eg suppliers, internal employees from Japan and Korea).

●     Experience with simple to complex query handling

●     Knowledge of related process areas such as Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) is seen as a plus

●     Customer service focus and interpersonal skills

●     Problem solving, organisational and communicational skills

●     Hands-on experience working with a procurement solutions in the Requisition-to-Receipt area, in particular Ivalua, preferred

●     Google Office tools as an advantage

●     Good at communicating in a professional manner

●     Display a strong work ethic and ability to comply with internal controls and policies

●     International mind-set 

●     Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
