Team Lead, Order To Cash

The purpose of the Order to Cash Team Lead is to support the US Cargotec OTC processes including performance measures, credit risk, process standards and policies via touch points and interfaces to related process areas.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead & develop a team of up to 10 team members
  • Manage team performance, meet process SLA’s and KPI’s and manage customer expectations
  • Implement Cargotec best practices to ensure standardized procedures
  • Accurate coordination of OTC data records and approval matrix maintenance on SAP system
  • Assure closing operations and outbound interfaces
  • Performs quality improvement activities and supports internal and external policies and OTC TO-BE process design in conjunction with OTC Global Process Owner
  • Follows up on questions from business controllers / Cargotec affiliates to support the team
  • Assure correct administrative and personnel record retention
  • Assure timely control reports submissions
  • 2nd escalation point for process-related issues
  • Be part of building up the OTC area in the CBS in close cooperation with the Project and Transition teams
  • Participate in transition activities when applicable:
  • Support the functional work stream
  • Support the transition of processes including OTC Playbook
  • Management reporting; responsible for backlog in control reports
  • Provide support to Solution Owners, GPO’s and CBS Management
  • Communication with internal customers to ensure smooth & effective operation, ensuring all issues are escalated and resolved within timescales
  • Support the team with additional critical tasks for the unit (e.g. audit, internal audit etc.) according to the decision of the Finance Hub Lead
  • Develops appropriate client relationship and a good relationship within the team and share experience
  • Responsible for leading the career development activities for team members including performance management, informal/formal feedback, training and resourcing
  • Takes responsibility for own professional development and growth in line with management agreed PDP
  • Reshape/redefine OTC role to provide stewardship/analysis support to all brands/functions
  • Responsible for providing high quality deliverables by proactively identify and resolve issues in the respective OTC area of responsibility
  • Using communication skills and diplomacy to keep projects moving forward and overcome hurdles
  • Delegate and achieve results through setting high Operational standards for the team and via creating process excellence team environment
  • Key Business Metrics: timeliness and accuracy to support operational excellence and being able to adjust accordingly when changes arise, by being able to identify and build new Data Quality report metrics
  • Assess credit risk and work with SBU’s to ensure customer credit limits are set at a reasonable risk level using tools at hand.
  • Drive best practice process improvements based on investigation/analysis and solicited feedback, including updates to audit and training materials.
  • Project management drive; demonstrate the ability to multi-task and effectively achieve results within and outside the team.
  • Assist Financial Reporting group with various duties during the PEC process including preparing the company’s financial reporting packages with detail
  • Manage 3rd party outsourcing partner Team operations; approve 3rd party outsourcing partner invoice (quality control if necessary and assigned by TM); SLA approval for OTC (3rd party outsourcing partner); drive 3rd party outsourcing partner process improvement and customer service satisfaction
  • Support that cross-functional processes in creating the best possible end-to-end efficiency.
  • Perform other assigned by the line manager tasks related to the area of accountability within agreed deadlines and quality

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Finance in an international environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of people management experience
