Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist supports the global financial transactional AP services for CBS customers in Americas region. Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist is the CBS subject matter expert in the daily recurring service operations and separate assignments. Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist follows Cargotec practices and policies and promotes process-driven way of working. Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist ensures cross-organizational consistency in his/her own actions and supports global standardization when local business interests or statutory regulations are conflicting with the global company practices and processes.


●    Ensures the timeliness and accuracy of invoice postings, payments, and alignment with the global processes.
●    Coordinate new vendor master data set up and documentation (W-9 and W-8)
●    Serves as a main contact in Basware invoice resolution between the business unit, indirect procurement team, and suppliers.
●    Identifies process improvements: Suggest methods to update, simplify, and enhance processes, procedures and technologies
●    Serves as first line of support for the Team leader for improvement initiatives and projects for its successful  implementation in US
●    Support Solution Owners and ITP Process Owners in continuous improvement and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures of the CBS
●    Collaborates with indirect procurement team on the optimal  utilization of the tools in US, taking lead in collaboration meetings
●    Participate in transition activities:
o    Support the functional work stream
o    Support the transition of processes incl. knowledge transfer and work shadowing


Other important qualifications: 
●    Active member of the ITP area by delivering ad-hoc requests to partners
●    Maintain good working relationships within the other process teams
●    Deliver service in line with agreed controls and procedures
●    Recognize unusual events or consistent problems and work with team leader to resolve issues
●    Ensure customers’ satisfaction to maintain a positive brand image for the CBS
●    Ensure all documentation and data is up-to-date and accurate 
●    Trains and supports the less experienced colleagues
●    Any other tasks assigned by the line manager related to the areas of accountability
●    All work needs to be conducted in compliance with Global Company guidelines, code of conduct, policies, procedures, controls and legal requirements

What you’ll need to succeed:


●    BA degree in business or accounting or min. 4 years of relevant business experience in finance or accounting


●    Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills 
●    Strong analytical, problem solving, organisational and communication skills
●    Fluent navigation in SAP 6.0, BAAN LN6/FP7 and Basware/Cloud systems
●    Proficient in  Microsoft Office 
●    Proficient in  Google work environment
●    Strong professional  and compliance ethics
●    International mind-set   
●    Proficient in English
