Kalmar is looking for structured and motivated colleague to join the Counterbalanced Contained Handlers (CCH) Business development and Sales support team. As a Product Manager you will be responsible for the current Product and Solution offerings including  short-to-medium term strategy in BL CCH.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for the current product offering development, including roadmaps, positioning, pricing, options and basic configurations of the current portfolio of EC-Handlers, Container & Industrial Reachstackers
  • Product management to ensure market demands and business strategies are supported by the product specifications
  • Chairman and organizer of the  “Product board forum” (Improved Offering Board - IOB)
  • Initiate and drive the development of new models, solutions, features, and options for the current portfolio (of EC-Handlers, Container & Industrial Reachstackers)
  • Schedule and plan the delivery of all product improvements to the current portfolio
  • Communication of current solutions, product offerings and product improvements to BL, Market Regions and distribution networks
  • Competitor analysis including offerings, solutions, products, comparisons, and strategy.
  • Participate in market and sales development activities
  • Application knowledge and development of container, intermodal, trimodal segments and selected industrial segments (steel, wind, concrete, recycling, heavy lifting)
  • Product and solution knowledge to support Market Regions and distribution network
  • Schedule, plan and conduct the delivery of  Product and solution trainings.

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

  • Education level needs to be a University Degree, Master of Science (M.Sc.) in mechanical engineering or similar experience
  • Deep product and solution knowledge of heavy machines (material handling)
  • Segment knowledge (ports & terminals, distribution, industry, intermodal)
  • Customer knowledge and understanding
  • Sales, offering, order process and financial knowledge and understanding
  • Strong understanding of value drivers in product offering
  • Good cross-cultural and communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Business- and market mindset
  • Ability to understands customer needs & values 
  • High level of communication & networking skills
  • Driving force, energetic and result oriented
  • Ability to do independent work as well as teamwork
  • Multi-task capability
  • Knowledge of heavy material handling, container handling and industrial businesses
  • Sound technical knowledge in Mobile Equipment product types or similar vehicles
  • Fluent in English both in speaking and writing.
