We are looking for a Trainee to join the Business Controlling team in Cargotec’s Corporate Finance (HQ). In this position you will get hands-on experience from monthly management reporting to Cargotec’s top management (incl. actuals and rolling forecast), long-range financial planning, business analysis, finance development activities and Oracle Hyperion Financial Management system (HFM).

 

Final tasks and responsibilities can be customized based on your previous experience, personal situation (e.g. potential ongoing studies) and areas of interest.

 

This position is located in Helsinki, Finland and you will report to the Director, Business Controlling. Trainee period starts already during Q1 2022 and can be extended to the end of 2022, during this timeframe different combinations of part-time/full time work are negotiable.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in preparation of monthly CLT (Cargotec Leadership Team) reports together with relevant analysis and commentary, and maintain related HFM Smartview Excel/PowerPoint templates.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis to support Cargotec management based on HFM, SAP and other data sources.
  • Assist in long-range financial planning.
  • Participate in developing presentations, reports and analytics for various purposes.

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

  • Ongoing B.Sc. or M.Sc. studies in economics or equivalent (at least 3rd year student).
  • Structured way of working and attention to detail, analytical mindset with ability to flex between the big picture and small details.
  • Ability to work with deadlines associated with a listed entity’s financial reporting schedule.
  • Good communication skills and good command of English.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 

 

 

Following experience/skills are considered a plus:

 

  • Previous work experience in management reporting or group consolidation.
  • Proficiency with relevant IT systems (Oracle HFM and SAP). 
  • Experience of working with visual analytics (e.g. Google data studio, Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI or similar).
  • SQL.
