Area Sales Manager

Purpose of the position

Plan, develop, direct, execute and monitor sales activities within a specified geography, product line, or market segment to achieve established sales targets for Australia and New Zealand.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Prepare sales and service sales forecasts and budgets; monitor sales volume, revenues, and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas
  • Manage the operational activities of a sales and service for an assigned geography, product line, market segment, or particular customers.
  • Prepare monthly sales and pipeline and forecasting Reports
  • End to end project management on Project won from quotation, customisation, production to delivery
  • Identify, Research, Contract prospective customers and establish alliance partners to create new business opportunities for growth in the assigned area in the form of future sales and repeated business
  • Build strong relationships with customers for business growth.
  • Negotiate sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organization.
  • Conduct regular visits and communication with customer to nurture a strong relationship and to stay attuned to customer feedback including competitive knowledge, and follow up the leads on any new or expansion requirements.
We expect from you
  • Degree in Business/ Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the Cargo Management Industry
  • Sales tools and process
  • Exceptional Negotiation, documentation and execution skills
  • Good analytical and business acumen skill
  • Product and service knowledge
  • Good written and communication skill with all levels of management
