Purpose of the position


To plan and purchase relevant materials associated to specific spreader models to ensure sufficient supply of materials are present to accommodate production demands directed towards specific spreader manufacturing projects.

Main tasks and responsibilities


  • To balance material supply with demand to ensure sufficient supply of material is available to accommodate the needs for specific spreader manufacturing projects
  • To plan and purchase materials considering relevant influential factors such as lead time associated to materials, consumption history and the indispensable requirement of the material
  • To monitor the supplier delivery accuracy to ensure accurate goods arrival to meet scheduled production activities
  • To retain and conserve safety stock at an optimum level for materials with high demand and high usage frequency
  • To establish productive correspondence with suppliers for material purchases
  • To be able to track demands reflected in the system for relevant materials in an effective and efficient basis to ensure orders are raised on time to accommodate on time arrival of materials to meet scheduled production activities
  • To update monthly shortages file segregated by project basis to ensure all material shortages are met accordingly for specific projects
  • To monitor overdue orders listings closely to ensure completion of deliveries for the issued purchase orders
  • To be able to furnish engineers with existing stock details and accurate delivery details of materials associated to the respective projects

What you’ll need to succeed



  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in any field, preferably in Business Administration or Engineering



  • At least 2 years working experience in Material Planning



  • Detail oriented and persistent
  • Sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Effective communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Integrity and reliability
  • Organisational and leadership abilities



  • Proficient in SAP system
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • To be acquainted with Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders & Invoices
  • Proficient in ThinClient software
