Purpose of the Job

• Reports to R&D Test Center Leader and R&D Manager
• Be involved and contribute to the research and development plan of the product business lines, which are related to the test request
• Interacts internally with sales and after sales, product managers, production, sourcing and customer engineering when it comes to testing and product evaluation perspective
• Interacts externally with customers regarding issues related to product in general and product evaluation perspective, which are related to the test request
• Provide necessary feedback/ reports to support the overall project flow

Key Accountabilities

• To plan for the test according to specifications provided through test request form
• To prepare necessary jigs and fixtures (with focus on Mechanical, Structures and Hydraulics) for the test to be executed
• To design and execute the test according to time plan
• To prepare necessary schematics for the test fixtures
• To justify that the results are reliable and according to customer expectations
• To ensure that all instruments used for the test are reliable and calibrated, and that correct equipments are used
• Able to troubleshoot and rectify any issues on test fixtures where necessary
• Responsible for maintaining and developing test equipment and test fixtures in the test centre
• Able to provide good test reports to the customer
• Liaise directly with customer in order to understand the request and to ensure that the test will be executed in accordance to customer expectations
• Participate and involve in activities that relate to safety in terms of testing perspective

Job Requirements

Education

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering

Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience

Skills

• Knowledge and skills in Mechanical aspects
• Capable of executing hands-on task
• Technical interest with strong design, troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Basic knowledge on control system / instrumentations
