Mechanical Engineer (RUP)

Purpose of the position
- Report directly to RUP, Manager, Services Engineering & Support
- RUP Engineering support globally
- Work directly with other engineering disciplines to establish product concepts, perform design verifications, carry ideas through final product design and rapidly respond to design changes
- Must be able to manage multiple concurrent assignments to meet established deadlines
- Work towards RUP product development
- RUP order design
- Responsible for customization design from conceptual to preparation drawing
- Refurbishment project
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Global technical support for RUP project (regions & Spreader Solution team)
- Responsible for mechanical drawing specification and design
- Evaluate product based on internal and external point of interest to develop a kit
- Writing a technical report
- Representative in New Product Development (NPD) project
- To manage multiple concurrent assignments to meet established deadlines
- To work independently but must be a team player that can contribute toward improving design practices, product line growth and product knowledge transfer
- On site product evalution and technical support
- Involved in RUP product field test
- Technical provider for refurbishment project
- Technical support for RUP product in testing stage
- Prepare test instructions
- Prepare installation instructions
- Responsible for spare part drawing specification improvement and design development
- Spare part technical support in technical inquiries
- Global spare part technical support for regions and the Products & Services organization
What you’ll need to succeed
- Education
- A relevant Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- A relevant Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of applicable working experience with relevant mechanical design work
- Minimum 3-5 years of applicable working experience with relevant mechanical design work
- Skills
- Relevant experience on design tool such like AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault and etc.
- Understanding of industrial standard related to machinery and structure
- Know how on hydraulic system
- Know how to use Google Suite
- Self initiative
- Competencies
- Write professional technical report
- Good technical analysis
- Ability to perform design work independently with minimum supervision from leader
- Problem solving attitude
