Finance Analyst

Purpose of the position

  • Overseeing completeness, timely and accurate data entries of respective Functional Area
  • Ensure smooth running of functional area 
  • Ability to execute without much supervision from Financial Controller
  • Lead in Functional Area projects
  • Good communciation skill on attending internal and external request
  • Expert in knowledge of GAAP/Cargotec Policy/SOA. Recommend changes
  • Coordinator for close checklist/Audit schedules
  • Expert Finance Projects- Expert Analytical/Articulation skill
  • Good training documentation skill- Able to clearly document own work and training documentation in a format useable to others.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Review Subcontractor headcount payroll and accruals. Exercises problem solving skill on subcontractor management on time computation dispute. Ensure proper control on subcontractor hour claim. 
  • Business Partnering Sourcing on Projects saving
  • Review AP on outstanding GR issues, missing invoices and invoice coding. Exercises dispute solving skill on problematic invoices clearing issues at SAP. Overseeing top 10 critical vendor reconciliation performed by Share services. 
  • Review Payment proposal with ability to exclude statutory payment/problematic invoices to avoid overpayment/duplicate payment.
  • Responsible for raising urgent ad hoc manual payment with Bank.
  • Responsible review of PPV impact by Material and Management review package on Price variance.
  • Responsible for dedicated Department Spending analysis and its spending Budget.
  • Applies judgement within defined practices and policies to determine appropriate action.  
  • Able to present, organize, and convey problems or issues within/ across other functions and externally.  
  • Good communication skill with Cargotec Principle Division’s Manager
  • Communicates internally (address to internal Customer request) and externally (subcontractor, banks etc). 
  • Able to lead in Improvements project/NVA reduction projects. 

What you’ll need to succeed

  1. Education
    • BS Diploma/degree graduate 
  2. Experience
    • 3-5 years relevant work experience (Manufacturing).
    • Skills
    • Big 4 public accounting preferred.  
  3. Competencies
    • Strong Basic knowledge US GAAP and local accounting rules Preferred. 
    • Google Office
    • SAP FI
    • Intermediate excel & Google Sheet.
    • Visio/other work flow chart
