Trainee, Product Support EMEA

Purpose of the position

 

Key purpose of the position is together with the existing EMEA Product Support team to handle the Product Support for Bromma EMEA Region.
As 4 out of 5 existing EMEA Product Support team members are already above 60 years old, and it takes years to fully learn up a new person to take over, the hope is that this person can later become a full time employee taking over one of the product support positions.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Contribute to positive order intake development
  • Daily responsibilities include:
  • Technical and commercial advice to the regional sales teams in EMEA regarding spreader configuration for customer order. Scope includes both Bromma crane and mobile equipment spreaders and other related Bromma products.
  • Propose product solutions that fulfil customer expectations as well as Bromma internal targets for profitability as expressed by Bromma product management.
  • Review tender and customer specifications and summarize the specification related to Bromma requirements, options and deviation list.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OUTSIDE OF STANDARD JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate & present in customer meetings as the technical expertise and in general support sales in the sales process
  • Assist to analyze global market trends, new technologies and competition to develop Bromma’s competitiveness on the market.
  • Lead and participate in various projects within crane spreader business line.
  • Cost review of new and existing designs.
  • Assist to improve Crane Spreader Business line profitability.
  • Build good relations with OEMs, GTO and customers, understand the needs, be creative and proactive in order to improve Bromma relationships.
  • Develop training material and hold trainings for the region teams.
  • Maintain sales support material (backyard data, brochures, data sheets, etc)
  • Feedback to R&D about product performance. Active contributor to product development.
  • Share experience gained from the customers with internal stakeholders.
  • Travel requirement : International travel may be required from time to time

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Education/ Experience/ Skills/ Competencies/ Language)

Education

 

  • Diploma Level or above.
  • BSc or MSc in Mechanical, Electronic, or Electrical Engineering would be added advantage

 

Preferred Career Experience

  • Newly graduate from a technical university degree

 

Skills

 

  • Good knowledge of industrial equipment containing, mechanical structures, hydraulics, electrics and control system
  • Able to work with people of diverse background.
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
  • Possess strong analytical, good leadership and supervisory skills.
  • A self-starter who is driven, resourceful and creative
  • Good judgement to prioritize between available resources, profitability requirements, and market needs.

Other Requirements

  • Fluent in Swedish and English, writing and speaking. Additional language skills are clear advantages.

Key Interface:

 

Internal: 


Interacts internally with rest of Bromma Global Product Support, Sales, Engineering, R&D, manufacturing teams, QC, sourcing and after market teams.


External: 


Interacts externally when necessary with Agents, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Terminal Operators (TO), and industry organizations in cooperation with the respective Bromma sales management.
